Italy Landing

So last weekend I was thrown into Italian culture via the busiest city in Italy, Rome. It is loud, fast paced and very italian. Full of american naivety and some serious jet lag, I deciphered the metro and learned to order cappucino and cafe late. Rome is beautiful and full of layers of history, literally layers. Every where you turn there is a remnant of past cultures, a place that altered history. To think, when I walk through the Roman forum I am walking through the streets that Jesus once tread. When I look at the Belvedere Torso I am studying the same sculpture that Michelangelo studied centuries ago. I am just full of amazement and wonder.
