I have spending a bunch of time working on my new house with all of my little (or BIG!) projects and it is finally coming together. This Monday I repurposed a palette into a shelf for my many coffee mugs. It was a quick fix and it brought so much charm to my kitchen. It was also very cheap which was super great since my budget is quickly disappearing after all of the other projects.
1 palette- these can be found FREE behind a bunch of different stores so just start looking around for one with good, not rotten wood
paint- any color will do, I just used some leftover Valspar Antique White paint
banding saw- don't get scared, it was not that much sawing
1. Cut the wood to the desired width using the banding saw down the middle boards.
2. Remove two (or more, depending on your desired look) of the boards to open up the "shelves"
3. Sand and Paint! Have fun with it!
That's it, so hang it on the wall and fill it with all of your lovely mugs.
